At the Intel Technology Innovation Summit 2022, Intel CEO Pat Kissinger reiterated Intel's firm belief in open ecosystems_open innovation on future technologies, providing choices, helping drive industry standards and providing trusted solutions.

Kissinger said,"One thing is clear: technology is increasingly important to all aspects of human existence. Looking forward to the next decade, we will see everything continue to go digital. Kissinger said that he had been referring to the "four super technological forces" before, and recently felt that "Sensing" should be added to his conversations with customers, peers and the media. Digitization of everything is not just computing and connecting, but also further "seeing" everything, even what we "can't see," such as recognizing objects, identifying locations, and even machines have hearing, taste, and smell.

Kissinger therefore argues that there are five "superpowers" as foundational technologies: 1) computing;2) connectivity;3) infrastructure;4) artificial intelligence; and 5) sensing and perception. As these five fundamental super-technological forces become more common, they combine and reinforce each other, unleashing entirely new possibilities.

The digital world is built on Moore's Law. For decades, people have often questioned whether Moore's Law continues to hold true. Kissinger pointed out that Intel hopes to have 1 trillion transistors on a chip package by 2030 by combining RibbonFET, PowerVia and other advanced technologies such as High-NA lithography. Intel has an ambitious plan to deliver five process nodes in four years. Intel 18A PDK version 0.3 is now adopted by early design customers (PDK is also known as process design kit), and test chips are being designed and will be rolled out by the end of the year.

"Moore's Law-at least for the next decade. Intel will go forward, tap the infinite possibilities in the periodic table of elements, and continue to release the magical power of silicon. Kissinger said.
