CTOnews.com Sept. 28, Intel unveiled the 13th generation Intel Core processor product family at today's Intel ON Technology Innovation Summit.

CTOnews.com learned that Intel's 13th generation Intel Core family includes six unlocked desktop processors with up to 24 cores and 32 threads and up to 5.8 GHz.

Led by Intel Core K series processors, the 13th generation Intel Core desktop family will include 22 processors and more than 125 partner model designs, providing users with uncompromising application performance and platform compatibility, officials said. With the existing Intel 600 or the new Intel 700 chipset motherboard, enthusiasts can enjoy the outstanding performance of the 13th generation Intel Core processors. The product supports the latest DDR5 and existing DDR4 memory, and users can assemble the machine according to their own functional requirements and budget while enjoying the performance benefits of the 13th generation core.

In terms of performance, Intel's 13th generation Intel Core uses the mature Intel 7 process process and x86 high-performance hybrid architecture, which improves single-threaded performance by up to 15% and multithreaded performance by 41%.

According to reports, compared with the 12th generation, the 13th generation Intel Core processor has increased the number of energy efficient cores (E-Cores) and improved multithreading performance by up to 41% when running multiple compute-intensive workloads. The unprecedented overclocking experience brought about by the 13th generation Intel Core processor. Users can see that performance core (P-Cores), energy efficiency core (E-Cores) and DDR5 memory all achieve higher average overclocking speeds. To support the 13th generation of cool processors, Intel has also updated the convenient one-click overclocking feature, Intel ®Speed Optimizer, to help users overclock easily. The powerful Intel ®Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) 3.0 ecosystem offers a variety of overclocking module options. When used with Intel ®Dynamic Memory Boost, this feature makes it easy to overclock DDR4 and DDR5 memory.

New features:

When running specific workloads, Intel ®Adaptive Boost Technology and Thermal Velocity Boost-- increase the processor smart frequency at the right time based on power and thermal margin. The two technologies are suitable for unlocked Core i9 processors.

By adding more efficient cores, Core i5, i7, and i9 processors have achieved a huge leap in multithreaded performance, providing users with a better application experience for multitasking and large-scale tasks.

Support for PCIe Gen 5.0.There are up to 16 on the processor.

Added support for DDR5-5600 and DDR5-5200 while continuing to be compatible with DDR4

Double the L2 cache size and increase the L3 cache size.
