On September 27, according to foreign media reports, BMW launched a new BMW iX1 for the European market, which is a small all-electric SUV and an electric version of the company's smallest cross-border car, the BMW X1.

The BMW iX1 uses a dual-motor system, equipped with BMW's iconic "adaptive M suspension" and 64.7kWh batteries, with a range of 257to 272km (413km to 439km) and a 100km acceleration in 5.7s.

Although the trunk of this car is smaller than that of a gasoline or diesel car, it still has a good capacity of 490 liters, and there is plenty of room in the back seat for adults to sit comfortably. What distinguishes the car is its sensitive steering, which makes it more attractive than Volvo or Mercedes.

In terms of price, BMW has not yet released details of the pricing of the car, but it could be priced between 40, 000 and 50, 000 euros.

According to foreign media reports, BMW iX1 will compete with Audi Q4 e-tron, Mercedes-Benz EQA and Volvo XC40 Recharge.

Like all brands, BMW is taking a variety of ways to turn to electric, which means that in addition to light hybrid and plug-in hybrid models, the company will also launch some all-electric versions.

BMW, once the brand of choice for speed-seeking car buyers, is now under pressure from electric carmaker Tesla. At present, the company's electric vehicles include i3, iX3, i4, iNext, Mini Cooper SE and so on.

Nicolas Peter, BMW's chief financial officer (CFO), said on Monday that BMW expects to deliver about 240000-245000 electric vehicles this year, and that number could rise to about 400000 next year.

BMW expects to deliver 400000 electric vehicles in 2023.
