It launched the construction of national computing hubs in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Chengdu and Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Gansu and Ningxia, and set up 10 national data center clusters. Officially opened the curtain of the construction of a national integration big data center system.

CTOnews.com learned that the National Development and Reform Commission held a special press conference on major infrastructure construction today. Zhang Zhihua, deputy director of the Innovation and High-tech Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that over the past half a year, the project has been accelerated in accordance with the established arrangements, and the project of "counting the number from the east to the west" has achieved initial results.

On the one hand, the construction of major projects should be accelerated. The local governments of the eight national computing hubs attached great importance to it, established a work coordination and promotion mechanism, issued the construction plan of the hub node, detailed the work objectives, main tasks and time nodes, and focused on promoting the construction of the starting area of the hub node. At present, the construction plans of computing hub nodes in eight countries have all entered the stage of deepening implementation, more than 60 new data center projects have been started in the starting area, the scale of new data centers has exceeded 1.1 million standard racks, and the total investment of the project has exceeded 400 billion yuan. The effect of computing agglomeration is initially emerging. In particular, the proportion of data centers in the western region has increased steadily, and the national computing structure has been gradually optimized.

On the other hand, the factor guarantee has been significantly enhanced. The National Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant parties, makes full use of investment in the central budget, policy-oriented development financial instruments, and special debts of local governments to support the construction of national computing hubs and data center clusters. At the same time, we will encourage and support all localities to introduce supporting policies on electricity, network, water use and energy use, especially in boldly exploring and innovating ways in the use of green energy, so as to ensure the smooth construction of national computing hubs.
