On September 25, 2022, the standard review meeting of the Electric vehicle Sub-Technical Committee of the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee was held both online and offline. More than 90 members of the Electric vehicle Sub-bidding Committee, observers and experts from standard drafting units attended the meeting. The meeting examined and approved two national standards, GB / T 20234.1 "connecting devices for conductive charging of electric vehicles, part 1: general requirements" and GB / T 20234.3, "connecting devices for conductive charging of electric vehicles, part 3: DC charging interface".

According to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, charging standards are the basis for ensuring the interconnection between electric vehicles and charging facilities, as well as safe and reliable charging. At present, with the increase of the driving range of electric vehicles and the improvement of the charging rate of power batteries, consumers have an increasingly strong demand for rapid replenishment of electric energy for vehicles. With the continuous emergence of new technologies such as "high-power DC charging" and "V2G (vehicle Network interaction)", new business type has become a general consensus in the industry to speed up the revision and improvement of the relevant standards of the current charging interface.

CTOnews.com has learned that on the basis of China's current DC charging interface technical scheme, the two standard revisions have increased the charging voltage and current rating, increased the technical requirements for high-power charging-related functions such as active cooling and temperature monitoring, and optimized and improved test methods such as mechanical properties, locking devices, and service life. This revision will further enhance the environmental adaptability, safety and reliability of the conduction charging connection device, effectively meet the development of high-power charging technology and market demand, ensure the universal compatibility of new and old charging interfaces, and create a good environment for the high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry and the charging facility industry.
