CTOnews.com, September 26, according to the Shanghai Securities News, it was learned from the Shanghai Economic and Information Commission that the first batch of fuel cell taxis in Shanghai will be on the road before the end of September, and 80 vehicles running around Hongqiao Airport will be on the road every day after hydrogen filling at the Shanghai Qingwei Oil and hydrogen Co-construction Station.

It is reported that Shanghai will become one of the first regular fuel cell ride-hailing cities in the country. The first batch of 80 are high-end online car-hailing cars, the model is SAIC Chase seven-seater cars.

CTOnews.com learned that in August 2021, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration formally approved the fuel cell vehicle demonstration application of Shanghai Urban agglomeration as the first demonstration urban agglomeration.

In August this year, a total of 410 SAIC fuel cell vehicles (hydrogen-powered vehicles), such as SAIC Chase MAXUS MIFA hydrogen fuel cell MPV, SAIC Hongyan hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck and SAIC light truck fuel cell cold chain logistics vehicles, will be officially put into commercial operation.
