At present, the overall progress of China's first large cruise ship construction project has exceeded 70%. Last month, China's second large cruise ship officially started construction and will continue to operate in the dock after the first ship is delivered.

According to reports, China's first large cruise ship is more than 300m long and has a total of 19 decks, which can accommodate more than 5000 passengers, more than 2000 guest rooms and 25 million spare parts.

In addition, the upper deck of the first large cruise ship is equipped with entertainment facilities such as a water park, a cinema area, a swimming pool, and a theater inside.

The report also shows some of the technical highlights of the construction process, including the use of more than 10,000 tons of sheet metal, but only 10 workers are needed to control the whole field.

CTOnews.com learned that in December last year, China's first large cruise ship successfully achieved the milestone of floating in the dock in Waigaoqiao shipbuilding under the China Shipbuilding Group. In August this year, the construction of the second domestic large cruise ship officially began in Waigaoqiao, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group. This indicates that China's shipbuilding industry has initially mastered the key core technologies for the design and construction of large-scale cruise ships, and has taken a landmark step towards the mass and serialized construction of large-scale cruise ships while opening a new era of "two-wheel pearl play".
