Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com Sept. 26, British police have confirmed that they have charged a teenager arrested on suspicion of hacking, which is related to recent "GTA6" and Uber data leaks, according to a report.

A 17-year-old arrested in Oxfordshire on Thursday has been charged with two counts of breach of bail and two counts of computer abuse and appeared in Cape Highbury Youth Court on Saturday, London police said on Saturday.

Although police did not comment on whether the arrest was related to this month's "GTA6" data leak, reporter Matthew Keys quoted sources as saying that the teenager was known as "A.K." because of his age.

The teenager, who is said to have ties to a group called Lapsus$, was arrested earlier this year for hacking into Microsoft and Nvidia. Keys sources said: "US federal law enforcement officials worked with their British counterparts to determine that A.K. Was a joint suspect in both attacks."

In addition, a law enforcement source said at least two other people are believed to have been involved in the attacks on R Star and Uber, and more arrests are expected.

CTOnews.com learned that recently, an anonymous user posted more than an hour of "GTA6" development video on the GTA forum, which could become one of the most high-profile data breaches in the history of the gaming industry. They claim to have acquired the leaked assets through internal Slack channels and say they are also behind the recent Slack-centric Uber data breach.

Uber said it believed its attackers (or more attackers) belonged to the hacker group Lapsus$, which has become increasingly active over the past year.
