CTOnews.com September 25 news, according to the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Software website, Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Software developed quantum computing programming software isQ recently officially open source release. isQ will continue to provide services to units and individuals engaged in quantum computing research and application at home and abroad.

According to the Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, isQ is a quantum programming software that supports classical quantum hybrid programming and can flexibly describe various complex quantum algorithms. At the syntax level, the quantum programming language of isQ software supports functions such as classical, quantum variable definition, custom unitary gate, quantum gate and measurement operation, classical control flow such as loop and recursion, and oracle definition. At the compilation level, isQ uses the mlir framework to define a unique set of quantum intermediate representations, and based on this, it provides efficient quantum circuit decomposition, quantum circuit optimization and quantum circuit mapping functions, which can eventually be converted into a variety of popular quantum hardware instruction sets or quantum underlying languages; at the computational level, isQ not only provides efficient quantum circuit simulators, but also has achieved docking with real quantum chips.

In addition, for the convenience of users, the R & D team also developed a simplified version, namely isQ-Core. Users can access cloud hardware directly in Python environment through isQ-Core, and execute a series of classical quantum hybrid algorithms such as variational quantum algorithm and quantum approximation optimization algorithm.

CTOnews.com learned that after isQ open source, the R & D team will simultaneously build an open source community, and said that quantum computing developers and quantum programmers at home and abroad are welcome to join.
