CTOnews.com, September 25 (Xinhua)-- Jamf, a popular Apple device management platform for schools and businesses, recently announced that it is now working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to make Amazon EC2 Mac instances more secure through a new layer of protection.

Amazon EC2 Mac instances allow individuals and organizations to run macOS workloads in an Amazon Web Services-based cloud. Customers can choose to run instances based on Intel (x86) or M1 (ARM) Mac mini. From now on, it will be safer to use these instances.

According to Jamf, working with AWS's new team will achieve "a simplified and powerful workflow to manage on a large scale and provide an additional layer of security for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) Mac instances."

CTOnews.com has learned that with the new improvements, organizations can provide "trusted access to virtual Mac" like physical computers. Jamf stressed that its Mac virtual machine is now as secure as the physical machine. "Jamf has taken the concept of zero-touch deployment a step further than before," the company said in a blog post:
