CTOnews.com September 24, according to Lenovo official news, the first "zero carbon factory" in the ICT industry, Lenovo (Tianjin) Intelligent Innovation Service Industry Park, which represents the highest intelligent manufacturing level of Lenovo Group, has been officially put into production.

Lenovo said that the industrial park with "green zero carbon, digital intelligence leading, lighthouse factory" as the core positioning, will create a scientifically replicable "zero carbon smart" solution for the industry. Liu Guiping, member of the standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor, Lian Maojun, member of the standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and secretary of Binhai New District, Yang Yuanqing, chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group, and Liu Jun, executive vice president of Lenovo Group and president of China, jointly unveiled Lenovo Innovation Industrial Park.

CTOnews.com learned that this line can go offline in an average of 24 seconds, and the monthly output of a single production line can reach 60,000 units. The new production line is completely developed and designed by Lenovo. Through the organic cooperation of 19 sets of manipulators and intelligent manufacturing system, intelligent assembly is realized by using machine vision, sensor and other technologies at various sites such as grasping, pasting, locking and assembling. Through the intelligent technology of end-to-end cloud intelligence, it can meet the seamless switching of complex models in small batches and multi-batches.

Officials said that in the test section of the production line, the R & D team faced up to the traditional pain points in the industry, greatly increasing the automation rate from 65% to 85%, ensuring that the test data were 100% transparent, visible and controllable. In the final packaging link, the automation rate of the production line reaches 60%, and the quality inspection is fully automatic. The production information of the parts and operators of the product will be automatically uploaded through the system to ensure that all the information of the product is traceable.

Around "zero carbon", the first ICT industry zero carbon factory standard developed by Lenovo Group in conjunction with the Certification Center of China Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization (also known as Saixi Certification) is about to be released to provide professional guidance and certification services for the industry to achieve carbon neutralization. Lenovo Group in the practical end of the construction of Tianjin Industrial Park, will create a replicable zero-carbon manufacturing intelligent solution for the industry.

In the overall design and planning of the industrial park, the technical team of Lenovo Group analyzes and designs the parameters from three aspects: function type, building type and energy efficiency type. the zero-carbon framework of carbon emission tracking, renewable energy use, low energy consumption infrastructure, digital information platform collaboration, carbon neutralization and performance management is established.

Taking the use of power supply and energy as an example, Tianjin Industrial Park will make full use of clean energy such as solar energy. 20,000 square meters of distributed photovoltaic power generation boards will be laid on the three main buildings, with a total annual generating capacity of about 2.63 million kilowatt-hours, which can meet the annual power demand of the park's exhibition center; at the same time, the industrial park will extensively set up off-grid photovoltaic products according to local conditions, such as photovoltaic street lamps and photovoltaic induction trash bins, to maximize the efficiency of carbon emission reduction in the industrial park.

In addition, the Rain Water regulation and storage system in the park can save 5 per cent of fresh water every year, and the waste heat recovery system is estimated to recover energy of about 1.12 million kilowatt hours per year, which has the greatest effect on carbon emission reduction in the park.
