In an interview, Acura executive Jon Ikeda just confirmed that the third generation of NSX will come. Acura's flagship sports car product will also completely abandon fuel power in the electric era and is expected to make its global debut in 2026, but it still has to wait for final confirmation from its parent company Honda.

His certainty comes from Honda's global CEO Toshihiro Mibe's commitment to electrification. Shortly after taking office in April 2021, Mibe announced plans to convert Honda's entire product line into electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by 2040.

As for what the electric NSX will look like, Ikeda has some ideas. "it's not just a straight line." extreme acceleration is already common in the electric supercar world, so Acura needs to bring something new. Ikeda hopes that NSX will also become the ultimate technical demonstration of manipulation.

According to current news, the new Acura NSX could make its global debut as soon as 2026, which may be based on Honda's latest e:Architecture architecture.

It is worth mentioning that Jon Ikeda, vice president of the Acura brand, confirmed last year that NSX may return to the market in the form of EV in the future. Ikeda said that the first generation of NSX is oil-driven products, the second generation is hybrid products, there will be another generation of products in the future.
