According to public information, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is one of the most powerful all-terrain off-road vehicles in the world. Last fall, K ä llenius tested the prototype of the electric car at the Mercedes test site in Gratz, Austria. The company usually tests G-class tankers there. K ä llenius said: "from now on, cross-country will be electric."

He believes that the electric version of the G-Class is crucial to the long-term development of SUV. Mercedes plans to have a full system of pure electric vehicles by 2030.

CTOnews.com learned that Mercedes-Benz showed off a G-class concept car and an EQE at the German IAA auto show last year, the former a pure electric version of the G-class SUV, combining an "uncompromising square off-road design with an environmentally friendly powertrain".

However, the company did not elaborate on the data of the concept car, whether it is the battery, the motor system or even the interior. Mercedes-Benz officials only mentioned that it was a "near-mass production" design that would pass the Sch ö ckl mountain torture test, which was the same as its ancestors.
