Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

September 24 news, Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg (Mark Zuckerberg) private jet track of the American guy Jack Sweeney (Jack Sweeney) claimed that Facebook blocked his tracking account.

Sweeney shared a screenshot of a notification sent to him by Facebook on Twitter, saying that the page of Sweeney tracking Musk's private jet was not displayed because it violated Facebook Pages policies. A Facebook spokesman didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Mr Sweeney said Facebook's email gave no more details, including why his account was blocked, causing the robot program he used to track Mr Musk's private jet to crash on other websites. "I appealed, but I never received a reply," Sweeney said. "

Sweeney, a student at the University of Central Florida, has been restricted in the past to track the private jets of celebrities such as Musk and Zuckerberg. Facebook pages may be deleted for publishing misleading content, promoting hate speech, or violating the site's community standards, including "content that may cause harm to personal safety."

Mr Sweeney had previously argued that he did not think the accounts posed a major security threat because the data were already available through public air traffic tracking sites such as ADS-B Exchange. He also said he only put the data on Twitter through the robot that crawled the website.

Sweeney doesn't have any other private jet tracking accounts on Facebook. However, Instagram, which is also owned by Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has not deleted the duplicate @ elonmusksjet account. By contrast, the Instagram page has only about 11000 followers, while the @ ElonJet account on Twitter has nearly 500000 followers.

Sweeney has said in the past that he was concerned that social media sites might try to block his account, especially when he first learned of Musk's plans to buy Twitter. At the time, he said he created backup pages on Facebook and Instagram.

Sweeney first created the @ ElonJet account in June 2020 and made headlines in January when Musk offered to pay him $5000 to close his Twitter account, which tracks his itinerary. The billionaire told Sweeney that he was worried about his safety and didn't like the idea of being shot by a madman. Sweeney rejected Musk's offer and asked for $50, 000, but Musk refused.

Musk is not the only one Sweeney is tracking. In May, the college student said he had discovered Zuckerberg's new private jet. Earlier, the Facebook founder appeared to have changed planes shortly after Sweeney first shared his whereabouts on Twitter.

Although Mr Sweeney initially rejected Mr Musk's offer, he said he had no objection to deleting the tracking account at the right price. Earlier this year, he said he no longer tracked the plane of billionaire investor Mark Cuban on Twitter in exchange for offering him business advice.
