CTOnews.com, September 23 (Xinhua)-- Apple's Apple Watch Ultra has gone on sale after featured apps such as "Siren" (siren) and "Depth" (Water depth) have been put on the App Store store.

In addition to the hardware differences between Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra, there are some applications specific to the latter. Apple's "siren" and "Water depth" apps will no doubt be pre-installed on Apple Watch Ultra, but they are now also available in App Store.

If a user gets lost or injured, the siren is specially designed for emergencies to draw attention to their location. When pressing the operation button on the Apple Watch Ultra, the siren emits a unique 86 decibel sound pattern, which can be heard up to 600ft (180m) away.

CTOnews.com learned that the depth app is suitable for leisure activities under 130ft (40m) of water, from snorkeling and free diving to simply playing in a swimming pool.

Users can see their current depth, water temperature, underwater duration and their maximum depth of 130 feet (40 meters). It can be automatically activated immediately after the Apple Watch Ultra is flooded, or it can be started manually like any other application.

These two apps are designed for Apple's Apple Watch Ultra model, and the Apple Watch Ultra model will be pre-installed. If users choose to delete the pre-installed apps, but later, they will be able to download them again from App Store.
