CTOnews.com, September 23 (Xinhua)-- strong sales of iPhone 14 Pro models could stabilize Apple's 60% market share of its high-end phones if consumer enthusiasm continues until the end of the year.

According to DigiTimes, so far this year, Apple's market share of high-end phones with a unit price of more than $500 has reached 55% in the off-season and 60% in the peak season, but if they maintain their current momentum, iPhone 14 Pro's peak season share may become the norm.

Foxconn, its main iPhone assembler, has reportedly asked Foxconn to transfer some of its iPhone 14 production capacity to iPhone 14 Pro models to meet strong demand, while DigiTimes reported that component manufacturers in Apple's supply chain have not received any cuts in orders for models, although they may have been told to slightly adjust the proportion of shipments for different devices.

On Apple's website, multiple configurations of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are still expected to ship within weeks. By contrast, sales of iPhone 14 models are tepid, and these devices can still be ordered immediately from Apple's website and are easily available in retail stores.

According to DigiTimes, the real indicator of demand for the iPhone 14 Pro will be sales performance in the first month after the first wave of pre-orders. Last year's iPhone 13 Pro model is said to have achieved "excellent" long-tail sales after the first wave of pre-orders, indicating that the Pro model has become the mainstream upgrade model for iPhone users because of its powerful specification upgrades.

By contrast, the iPhone 14 has the same design and display as the iPhone 13 and is supported by the same A15 chip as the iPhone 13 Pro, but with newer camera functions. CTOnews.com learned that the 6.7in iPhone 14 Plus is a larger screen version with a larger battery, replacing the less popular "mini" size in the iPhone 12 and 13 series.
