Pico 4 is similar in design to previous Pico products, with a self-contained stand-alone design that can also be connected to a PC for use. The Pico 4 is smaller and lighter than the Pico Neo3 Link released in May, weighing 295 grams without straps and 586 grams with straps, using the same Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor, Adreno 650 GPU, but using a larger 8GB memory and a higher resolution display. According to introduction, Pico4 adopts Pancake optical scheme, equipped with 4K + super vision screen, PPI (pixel density) reaches 1200, refresh rate reaches 90Hz, display is clear and delicate. Two storage versions are available: € 429 for the 128GB version and € 499 for the 256GB version. Officials say a single charge provides about three hours of use, and like previous Pico headsets, the battery is built into the back strap to maintain balance.

Pico 4 uses Inside-out tracking technology and does not require external device positioning. Equipped with a Pico 4 sports handle (with vibration function) and four external cameras, the device will also provide full color perspective.

At the conference, Pico announced cooperation with Ruins Magus, Gorn and other games, among which it is worth noting that Pico announced that it will launch Just Dance in conjunction with Ubisoft, which will be exclusive to Pico and is expected to launch in 2023. Pico Fitness also launched a VR version of the fight course in conjunction with Laimei, and launched VR fitness content with Pamela, a fitness celebrity. In addition, Pico announced that it will launch its own social platform Project Pico World in 2023 and has partnered with Discovery on video content.

In terms of software, Pico 4 is equipped with PICO OS 5.0 operating system, which can perform multitasking, gesture capture, video recording, selectable voice to text and other functions. Another highlight is that PICO has built virtual human functionality into PICO OS 5.0, allowing users to customize their virtual human image by adjusting 80 parameters and interact with other users in multiple games, fitness scenarios and PICO Worlds virtual social platforms.

Pico 4 will launch in Japan, South Korea and 13 European countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy, and will be launched in China on September 27 and in Singapore and Malaysia later this year.

PICO also offers a high-end version of PICO 4 Pro, designed for power users and developers. PICO 4 Pro has three infrared cameras installed in the device to achieve eye tracking and face tracking, support accurate measurement and stepless automatic adjustment of the device's pupil distance and IPD, ensuring optimal image quality and eye comfort.
