CTOnews.com has reported that Tianfeng International analyst Guo Mingyi has previously said that Apple is testing a 9-inch foldable display device similar to the iPhone and iPad and hybrid, but he believes the long-rumored iPhone folding screen is unlikely to be launched before 2025, but it is only a prediction.

Guo Mingyi believes that the development of Apple's foldable products initially focused on medium-sized devices, then devices with larger displays, and finally expanded to small devices such as the iPhone.

In order to bend around the curved crankshaft without damage, the display screen may include a display screen cover layer having a flexible portion.

Apple said the technology could be used for everything from "computing devices such as laptops" to mobile phones, or even "smaller devices such as wristwatches, pendants, wearable or other types of micro devices".
