Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, September 22 (Xinhua)-- Apple announced to developers this week that price and tax adjustments will be implemented for purchases in App and App.

Apple said prices for App and App purchases (except automatic renewal subscriptions) on App Store will increase as early as October 5, 2022, including Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam and all regions using euro currencies.

According to reports, in Vietnam, the related price increases reflect new rules requiring Apple to withhold applicable taxes, including 5 per cent value added tax (VAT) and 5 per cent corporate income tax (CIT).

CTOnews.com understands that developers' earnings will be adjusted accordingly and will be calculated based on prices that do not include taxes. Appendix B to the paid App Agreement will be updated to indicate that Apple collects and remits applicable taxes in Vietnam.

Apple pointed out that the "Price and sales range" section of my App will be updated as soon as the above adjustments take effect. Developers can change the price of items purchased in App and App (including automatic renewal subscriptions) in App Store Connect at any time. If developers offer subscription items, they can choose to keep the current price for existing subscribers.
