CTOnews.com learned that Qualcomm dominated the AP market with 44 per cent of revenue in the second quarter of 2022, according to the report. Qualcomm's share grew by 56% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2022, due to ASP growth due to a higher premium combination. In addition, the recently announced Galaxy S22 series partnership between Qualcomm and Samsung will support revenue from high-end products. MediaTek has a 22% share of the AP market. In other aspects of mobile chip revenue, Apple ranked second with 23 per cent, MediaTek ranked third with 22 per cent, Samsung ranked fourth with 8 per cent, Ziguang ranked fifth with 3 per cent, and Huawei Hayes ranked sixth with 1 per cent.
