Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com reported on September 22 that on November 5, 2021, Sustainable Development Science Satellite 1 (SDGSAT-1) was successfully launched in China's Taiyuan Satellite launch Center. The satellite is the first scientific satellite in the world to serve the United Nations 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development, specially developed by the big data Science Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the first star planned by the big data International Research Center for Sustainable Development (CBAS).
On the 20th local time, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced at the ministerial meeting of the Group of Friends of the Global Development Initiative in New York that the "Sustainable Development Science Satellite 1" data launched by China in November last year was open and shared to the world, helping countries to study and make decisions on sustainable development, Chinanews.com reported yesterday.
According to reports, Sustainable Development Science Satellite 1 aims to detect land, sea and other surface parameters closely related to human activities, and can finely monitor the interaction between human activities and the natural environment. Yesterday, the satellite's open science program service system was officially launched, accepting data and research applications from researchers from all over the world, and providing scientific data for domestic and foreign scientists engaged in sustainable development research.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, on December 20, 2021, the first batch of images of Sustainable Development Science Satellite 1 were officially released, including low-light, multi-spectral and thermal infrared imager images of China's Yangtze River Delta, Shandong Peninsula, Xizang Namco, Aksu, Beijing, Shanghai and Paris, France.
Among them, the low-light-level imager reflects the level of social and economic development and the pattern of human settlements by detecting the intensity and distribution of lights at night. Multi-spectral data has the characteristics of wide width and high signal-to-noise ratio, and its band setting is suitable for the monitoring of water color index, transparency and suspended solids in all kinds of turbid water. Thermal infrared imager can finely detect land surface and water surface temperature, fine water and heat dynamic changes of farmland, urban thermal energy distribution and so on, and provide basic data for crop growth, environment of diseases and insect pests, energy consumption and land surface temperature changes.
