Foreign media reported that Samsung Electronics had contacted Japanese photoresist suppliers many times to find new suppliers, but they always failed to meet the requirements in terms of thickness.

Samsung Electronics, a key material for the production of advanced 3D NAND flash memory, has always been supplied by South Korea's Dongjin Shimiken, and Samsung Electronics cooperated with this company to develop photoresist before they started producing 3D NAND flash memory in 2013.

Tokyo should be chemical industry and other manufacturers can not request, which means that Samsung Electronics in the future production of 3D NAND flash memory, will still use Dongjin Shimiken photoresist, has been an exclusive supply of Dongjin Shimiken for nearly 10 years, will remain the exclusive supplier for some time in the future.
