CTOnews.com, September 22, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, on September 12, China led the international standard project "Test scenario Evaluation and Test case Generation of Road vehicle Autopilot system" (ISO 34505), which was proposed under the framework of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). After a vote, the project was formally established, with Chinese and German experts jointly serving as the leader of the standard project.

The ISO 34505 standard mainly defines the evaluation method of the test scenario of the autopilot system, puts forward the requirements for determining the functional evaluation indexes such as criticality, complexity and risk of the test scene, and defines the general method of test case generation and its necessary characteristics, including test objectives, test steps, execution conditions and expected results. The test of intelligent online vehicle and self-driving system is not only an important link in the research and development of self-driving technology, but also an important support for the large-scale development of industrialization. the evaluation of self-driving test based on test scenario has reached a consensus all over the world. The establishment of this standard will fill the gap in the international standard of test scenario generation for autopilot system, promote the international standard of test scene to form a complete system, and cover the whole set of scene application framework from conceptual design to simulation, from scene library construction to actual test site construction.

In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., together with relevant domestic enterprises and research institutions, establish a domestic expert support team, coordinate international superior technical resources, form a working model of domestic and international coordination, promote the establishment of a scientific and reasonable evaluation methodology for self-driving test scenarios, and make positive contributions to the formulation and coordination of international standards and regulations related to self-driving.

CTOnews.com learned that so far, more than 30 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Wuhan, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Nanjing, have issued intelligent network connection vehicle road test management measures and implementation rules, allowing enterprises to carry out self-driving road test and demonstration operation.
