According to the news on September 22, Aliyun announced at the International Cloud Summit held in Thailand that it would continue to speed up the layout of overseas markets, invest 7 billion yuan in international localization ecology in the next three years, and set up six service centers overseas. They are located in Porto, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and other places. In recent years, Aliyun has achieved rapid growth in overseas markets, growing more than 10 times in three years, ranking first in the Asia-Pacific market.

Zhang Jianfeng, president of Aliyun Intelligence, said that Aliyun will continue to increase its investment in the global market and accelerate the process of enterprise digitization through better digital products and services. In the past year, Aliyun has added seven overseas data centers, including South Korea, Thailand, Germany, Indonesia, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. Currently, Aliyun operates 85 availability zones in 28 regions around the world, covers more than 200 countries and regions, and has the largest cloud infrastructure in Asia.

According to reports, Aliyun plans to invest 7 billion yuan (US $1 billion) in the next three years to build an international localized ecology, rooted in local markets, and create localized products and ecosystems; at the same time, six major service centers will be set up in Porto, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur, and Dubai to cooperate with local digital talents to build large-scale service centers with multilingual capabilities to optimize services and delivery experience in overseas markets.

It is understood that Aliyun promotes differentiated products and ecological strategies in various markets. For example, in Thailand, Aliyun launched the Baihe Project of a hundred partner alliance, working with local partners such as Thailand Telecom to promote digital construction; in Indonesia, Aliyun worked with more than 10 Indonesian universities to train digital technology for more than 62000 local people in 2021. In Saudi Arabia, Aliyun formed a joint venture with Saudi Telecom, the largest telecom company in the Middle East, to operate two local data centers.

In terms of product technology, Aliyun announced the launch of international versions of the eighth generation ECS CVM, cloud box, enterprise networking CEN2.0, container service ACK ONE, self-developed database PolarDB-X, self-developed multi-mode database Lindorm, etc., bringing advanced technology products to more international markets.

According to Gartner data, Aliyun ranks third in global market share and first in Asia-Pacific market in 2021, and is the only Chinese cloud service provider with a major international market position. In the field of technology, Aliyun got the highest score in the Gartner evaluation in the four core technology areas of computing, network, storage and security. Among them, in terms of network technology, Aliyun is the only Chinese company among the top ten network institutions in the world.
