According to the report, TWS was the only category of personal smart audio devices to achieve growth in the second quarter of 2022, up 8 per cent year-on-year to 63 million units, with India being the main driver of this category's growth.

India, which has become the world's third-largest market for TWS equipment, bucked the trend this quarter, with shipments rising by 55.0 per cent.

In addition, despite the increase in shipments, the market value of TWS fell by 2.9%, which means that the macroeconomic downturn has seriously affected manufacturers' profits.

In the second quarter of the global market, Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, boAt and Skullcandy ranked Top5, up 13%, 13%,-38%, 274% and-36%, respectively.

In the Chinese mainland market, the Q2 share of all the leading manufacturers except OPPO declined, but Xiaomi bucked the trend and overtook Apple to win the first place at home. Xiaomi, Apple, Walker, Huawei and OPPO grew-30 per cent, 23 per cent,-20 per cent,-13 per cent and 119 per cent respectively in the second quarter, while the rankings of walkers and Huawei remained unchanged.

In addition, the other five major markets in the world, the United States, India, Russia and Germany, have all changed to some extent, with the share of Apple, OPPO and other manufacturers soaring.
