According to news in the morning of September 22, Beijing time, Amazon's AWS Mexico will build a local operations center in the first quarter of next year to increase bandwidth for customers.

With the new center, Amazon's computing, storage, database and other services are closer to population and IT centers, which can add bandwidth to services such as streaming video. The new center calls its own infrastructure deployment "local zones", which can support real-time games, media and entertainment content production, and engineering simulations.

In the first quarter of 2023, AWS Mexico is preparing to open new offices in Guadalajara and Monterrey, and it will work with local Mexican companies to expand its business.

Totalplay, a telecom company owned by Ricardo Salinas, Mexico's third-richest man, will advise on AWS's cloud services, and the two sides will work together to expand their business in the Mexican cloud market. The Mexican cloud market will be about $1.4 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow to $2.7 billion by 2025.

Mexico is the fourth largest cloud computing market in the Americas, after the United States, Canada and Brazil.
