HotHardware got this data from the AMD XOC team, who tested it under the condition of using the basic AIO 280mm water-cooled radiator (Pirate ship H115i). The full core can reach 5.5GHz, and its performance is better than the R9 5950X of the all-core 6.0GHz, successfully breaking the previous world record and taking the top spot in the running table.

The data show that at this time, the temperature of all cores of the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X is between 87 °C and 108 °C, and it is running at a maximum power of 226W to 244W, which is within the maximum allowable range of the AM5 slot. However, in order to maintain this performance for a long time, it is recommended that you use a better water-cooled radiator, and a new record of using liquid nitrogen overclocking is expected when the new product goes on sale.

The results show that compared with the Zen 3 architecture, the IPC of the new R9 7950X is increased by about 13-14%, and the heat accumulation problem is still difficult to cure.

CTOnews.com reported that when AMD released the Ryzen 7000 series processor based on Zen 4 in August, it announced that the flagship 16-core model, the Ryzen 9 7950X, had a peak frequency of 5.7GHz and could even reach 5.85GHz on Precision Boost Overdrive, but this only applies to two cores.

It is worth mentioning that @ TUM_APISAK previously released a test score of 39.5C (slightly less than 5.8GHz), but he did not submit the record, indicating that he either used exaggerated heat dissipation specifications or found a model with one in a million physique, and it is not clear whether he can ensure stable operation under such circumstances.
