CTOnews.com, Sept. 22, according to the latest data from analytics firm Mixpanel, iPhone users are adopting iOS 16 faster than last year's adoption of iOS 15. Nine days after release, statistics show that 23.26% of iPhone have iOS 16 installed.

Ten days after the launch of the official version of iOS 15, the installation rate was only 19.3%, when iPhone users seemed more reluctant to upgrade because of some early errors. The official version of iOS 16 introduces more visual changes and is more attractive.

Currently, Apple allows iPhone users to continue to use iOS 15.7 through security updates, not a mandatory upgrade to iOS 16. Apple released the iOS at 15:00 last year and did the same branch route, allowing people to continue to use iOS 14 for about four months after the update was released. The upcoming iOS 16.1 official update will add some noteworthy features, such as real-time activity on the locked screen and a change in the percentage of batteries in the status bar.

As the adoption rate of iOS 16 increases, 66.96 per cent of iPhone is still running iOS 15, while 9.77 per cent of iPhone runs older versions of iOS. CTOnews.com learned that Mixpanel's data comes from visits to websites and applications that use Mixpanel to analyze SDK.
