Of course, the phone was stillborn as LG officially withdrew from the phone market in April last year.

Although LG Rollable is not on the market, pictures and videos of the machine have been posted online many times before, allegedly because LG sold the machine to its employees. Now a South Korean YouTube channel has released a detailed out-of-the-box video of the phone, which gives us a deeper understanding of the phone.

The video shows that the LG Rollable has a unique retail package that slides away like a phone's display screen, with the phone, some files, a charging head and a USB cable inside.

According to the video, the LG Rollable is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 SoC,12GB memory, 256GB storage, and 4500mAh batteries. On the front is a 6.8inch flexible POLED display that can be expanded into a larger 7.4inch screen.

On the back, the LG Rollable uses dual camera settings, including a 6400-megapixel main camera that supports OIS and a 1200-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The phone also uses a circular fingerprint recognizer, right under the rear-facing camera module.

Interestingly, the LG Rollable is not equipped with traditional power keys and volume keys. Instead, the device has a touch-sensitive control on the left edge to switch on and off the screen and adjust the volume.

The point, of course, is that the LG Rollable display can be seamlessly expanded and contracted with two-finger gestures, and the user interface automatically adjusts to accommodate the changing shape. The transformation of UI looks pretty smooth, even in applications like YouTube.

Although having a retractable display means that the phone doesn't have the same obvious wrinkles as Samsung's foldable phones, the retractable part of the display still looks wrinkled. In addition, the retractable part is not structurally as strong as other parts of the display screen and is easy to bend when pressed.
