Together with T3 travel, it jointly launched the public operation of Robotaxi this month, becoming one of the first companies in the industry to carry Orin to achieve the deployment of L4 Robotaxi fleet. It marks the first achievement since the cooperation between Light Boat and Nvidia last year, and strongly promotes the development of the L4 self-driving scheme in a direction that is more in line with vehicle regulations.

According to the official introduction, as the latest generation of intelligent car central computer of NVIDIA, a single Orin can provide up to 254 TOPS of performance, dual Orin can provide computing power of up to 508 TOPS, can handle a large number of applications and deep neural networks running at the same time, and meets system security standards such as ISO 26262 ASIL-D, which is very important for self-driving applications with stringent security requirements.

Light Boat Zhihang also said that it has completed the deployment of Orin's production autopilot solution in front of its latest generation of vehicle specifications, and is the first in the industry to achieve a landing based on a lidar city NOA solution with self-driving full-stack self-development technology.

Recently, Light Boat Zhihang announced a segment of gauge-level domain controller equipped with Orin, and a self-driving car equipped with a forward 120-degree gauge-level lidar to complete a variety of difficult challenges on urban roads, including complex scenes such as poor road conditions under viaducts, games between multi-vehicle and large-vehicle mixed road conditions, precise positioning of multi-storey parking buildings and continuous corners.

CTOnews.com learned that on September 20, NVIDIA Nvidia held the fall GTC 2022 conference online and launched a new computing platform, Drive Thor, with the computing power of 2000TOPS. Nvidia said the platform, which will focus on autopilot, assisted driving and other digital functions, including in-car entertainment, will replace a large number of chips and cables in cars and reduce the cost of the entire system.
