September 21, according to foreign media reports, the American car rental company Hertz announced that it will buy 175000 electric vehicles from General Motors in the next five years to expand its electric vehicle rental fleet.

Hertz's new electric cars will come from all GM brands, including Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Buick and BrightDrop (the company's commercial vehicle division), including SUV, pickup trucks and luxury cars.

Hertz and General Motors said it was the largest deal of its kind to date. According to foreign media reports, GM will begin to deliver the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV to Hertz in the first quarter of next year.

In addition to General Motors, Hertz also ordered a large number of electric cars from Tesla and Polestar. In October 2021, Hertz ordered 100000 electric vehicles from Tesla, with a transaction value of 100000 vehicles worth $4.2 billion, including Model Y and Model 3.

In early April this year, Hertz announced that it would purchase 65000 electric vehicles from Polestar over the next five years, with the initial purchase of Polestar 2 electric vehicles.
