CTOnews.com, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) after Apple's iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max went on sale last week, some users of the new phone said they had a problem using CarPlay and that it was difficult for the other person to hear their voice during a phone call made in a car.

Over the past three to four days, affected users have reported the problem online, with most users saying that after calling someone through CarPlay using iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max, they said their voice sounded low or felt far away.

Most of the feedback came from users of iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max running iOS 16.0.1, but at least one user reported that the problem also seemed to affect standard iPhone 14, while others said the problem persisted even if it was downgraded to iOS 16.0.

MacRumors recreated the problem by calling an iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.0.1 on a 2022 Honda Civic over a wired CarPlay. However, this problem does not occur when using the same mobile phone for ordinary hands-free Bluetooth calls in the car.

CTOnews.com learned that it is not clear what the cause of the problem is or how many users are affected, but this seems to be another bug of the new iPhone 14 series. Apple already plans to release an update to iOS 16 next week to fix problems such as the vibration of the rear camera of the iPhone 14 Pro model in certain applications. I wonder if this problem will be fixed together.
