CTOnews.com, September 20 (Xinhua)-- China Telecom Tianyi Cloud will release its own operating system CTyunOS based on Euler in 2021, according to openEuler. As of August 2022, CTyunOS has completed the full-service adaptation of Tianyi Cloud public cloud platform. By providing complete migration tool system and engineering capabilities, Tianyi Cloud's full scene business has been seamlessly replaced with CTyunOS, with a total of 30,000 sets launched. The launch of CTyunOS marks the first time that the operator's public cloud has realized the adaptation of the domestic native operating system in the full scene, and also marks the full switch of Telecom Tianyi Cloud to the operating system of Euler technology route.

OpenEuler is an open source operating system for digital infrastructure, 100% supports mainstream computing architecture, and covers full-scene applications through a single operating system. CTyunOS operating system is independently developed based on openEuler 20.03 LTS version, including Tianyi Cloud's fully self-developed virtualization enhancements and cloud platform components, perfect compilation tool chain and development environment, with the characteristics of high performance, high reliability, strong security and easy scalability, fully combined with the capabilities of the open source community, and is a customized and enhanced version that is deeply optimized for cloud computing scenarios. Currently, CTyunOS has been adapted to computing nodes, storage nodes, network nodes, management nodes of Tianyi Cloud IaaS layer cloud platform, cloud wing, cloud path, cloud bridge platform of PaaS layer, ECX, database and other services of the upper layer, and the performance of the platform has been improved by more than 10%.

According to the official, Tianyi Cloud CTyunOS provides a complete migration plan, including the establishment of migration support organization, migration analysis, scheme design, migration adaptation, relocation implementation and testing online. At the same time, with the help of x2openEuler migration evaluation and in-situ upgrade technology, it realizes the "simple, stable and efficient" replacement of the panoramic business.

Through the x2openEuler migration evaluation technology, this paper gives a comprehensive analysis of the compatibility of software, hardware and configuration. It includes the changes of the upper business software interface, the change of software package version and the change of operating system configuration parameters before and after the OS migration to ensure the smooth migration of the business.

Through x2openEuler's in-situ upgrade technology, the stock CentOS is upgraded to CTyunOS with one click, and the upper-level business does not need to be redeployed and parameters need not be reconfigured before and after the upgrade, which greatly reduces the upgrade time. At the same time, the original server resources can be used directly in the whole upgrade process, and there is no need to prepare extra spare machines, which greatly saves the migration cost. The in-situ upgrade technology controls the upgrade time of a single node to less than 2 hours to minimize the impact of upgrade on the business.

So far, Tianyi Cloud CTyunOS has completed the scale migration of 30,000 sets in public cloud Inner Mongolia nodes, one city, one pool, cloud on IT and other resource pools.
