According to reports, the project is expected to be completed and put into use in 2023. At the same time, the project will create the world's first three-dimensional layout of the future urban transport system and 5G-led intelligent network transportation test base. The Shenzhen Action Plan for the cultivation and Development of Intelligent Network Automobile Industry Cluster (2022-2025) released this year makes it clear that the intelligent network automobile industry will be distributed in Pingshan District, Nanshan District and Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone. Pingshan District has both R & D and manufacturing functions.

After completion, the demonstration platform will realize the first 5G scene and virtual city cloud simulation in China, take the lead in real-time driving trajectory prediction in the world, and complete the V2X (vehicle wireless communication) interconnection application demonstration activities. it has become a key supporting infrastructure for the development of the intelligent network connection automobile industry.

According to previous reports by CTOnews.com, Shenzhen has opened a total of 201.37 km of test roads and opened 187 test roads on Aug. 23, according to the official Weibo of Shenzhen Transportation Bureau. Among them, the first batch of 124 km of open roads, 105 open roads, the second batch of 20.69 km, 29 open roads.
