CTOnews.com, September 20, the latest Strategy Analytics research report "Global smartphone earnings, ASP and Price range Forecast: 2008-2027" points out that global smartphone wholesale revenue will grow by 2% year-on-year in 2022, mainly driven by a combination of Apple, Samsung and other high-end models, ASP will grow by 10% year-on-year.

Strategy Analytics predicts that from 2022, high-end smartphones (wholesale prices greater than $300, about 2100 yuan) will replace mid-range phones ($100,190 (about 1330 yuan)) as the highest price range for smartphone sales. Between 2022 and 2027, the high-end smartphone market will account for 33-36 per cent of global smartphone sales and 73-75 per cent of global smartphone wholesale revenue, CTOnews.com has learned.

According to Strategy Analytics, the price range of $600 or above will account for the largest share of high-end smartphones in the high-end smartphone market, accounting for 21-22% of global smartphone shipments and 58-59% of revenue between 2022 and 2027. In terms of shipments and earnings, the range of $300 (about 2100 yuan) to $399 (about 2793 yuan) will remain the second largest price range.
