Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Severn Altman for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com Sept. 20, Twitter user @ nilaydebnath99 said after asking Microsoft customer service that the Windows 11 version of 22H2 may not be launched today (September 20), but will be launched next month.

A few days ago, a user claimed that they had received a new Dell laptop with Windows 11 version of 22H2. The device is pre-installed with Windows 11 Build 22621.521 (KB5017321). There are also rumors that Build 22621.382 will be a GA (universally available) version. Therefore, some other devices may offer this earlier version instead of Build 22621.521.

Recently, the ISO link for Windows 11 version 22H2 has been exposed and shows that it has been pushed to the server. It shows that Microsoft is ready to update the 22H2 features of Windows version 11.

CTOnews.com was informed that users running the original version of Windows 11 21H2 will be able to seamlessly upgrade to Windows 11 22H2 because the system requirements have not changed. In terms of functionality, Windows 11 22H2 will restore the much anticipated "drag and drop" support for the taskbar. It will also come with a redesigned task manager that will use WinUI and Fluent Design, including Mica and Acrylic materials.

This feature update also includes improvements to the start menu, a faster context menu, desktop Windows Spotlight, and tag support in File Explorer (expected to be released after 22H2).
