In companies we often encounter a wildcard certificate purchased for our domain name. At this time, we want the Exchange server to use this wildcard certificate, but when assigning certificate services in ECP, we are prompted that POP or IMAP mode cannot use wildcard certificates.

At this time we need to configure POP or IMAP mode to use wildcard certificates through the command, the specific steps are as follows:

Set-Popsettings -server bj-cas-01 -logintype PlainTextLogin -X509CertificateName mail.contoso.com Restart POP service; modify ECP-Mail Flow-Receive Connector-Client Frontend BJ-cas-01-Range-FQDN is mail.contoso.com

After changing the above settings, Outlook can use 995 to log in POP and 587 TLS to log in SMTP;
