CTOnews.com, September 20 (Xinhua)-- according to MacRumors, some netizens reported that Apple's AirDrop is not working properly on some iPhone 14 series models. When trying to send a file from iPhone 14 to the contact's iPhone, the affected user was unable to complete the transfer.

The file sent to the contact displays a "wait" message indefinitely, while the person on the other end does not receive a message accepting the AirDrop transmission.

The problem appears to be with iPhone 14 devices rather than iOS 16, but some users running iOS 16 may also encounter problems. So far, only reports have been received from iPhone 14 users.

CTOnews.com learned that, as described in the forum, partial solutions are available. To send a file to a contact, you must change the AirDrop setting to everyone instead of contact. You can access the AirDrop settings by opening the Control Center and long pressing the module at the top left. Click "AirDrop" and select the "everyone" option.

However, this solution is not compatible with password sharing because sending a password to another person requires both participants to keep each other's contact information in the iPhone.

According to several netizens who contacted Apple support, Apple is aware of the problem and may fix it in the near future.
