Officials say it should be easier for developers to port their games to PS VR, whether from existing PS5 developers or other VR systems. PS VR2's game development uses the same SDK as PS5 games. By working closely with PS5 SDK, developers can more easily create games that support PS VR2.

In addition, PS VR2's production environment supports games created using Unity and Unreal Engine. With standardized controller interfaces and button settings similar to those of other VR platforms, developing PS VR2 games should be much easier than before.

Sony said that one feature that developers will prefer is GPU's FSR (Flexible Scale Rasterization), which combines PS VR2's tracking technology with center point rendering to further optimize rendering by freely changing pixel density according to the player's line of sight. In the development environment, the force feedback of the head display will be tested by many sample programs, which will vibrate according to what they have seen and heard, so that developers can test the vibration effect of the examples according to gunshots, footsteps, jumps and so on.

CTOnews.com learned that Sony has also announced on a number of social media that the virtual reality headset "PlayStation VR2" will be released early next year. At present, the new generation of PS VR2 can offer about 10 games, including "biochemical Evil: the Village" and "the call of Horizon Mountain" and so on.
