It is reported that Tesla Shanghai super factory production line optimization project total investment 1.2 billion yuan, of which environmental protection investment 85 million yuan, accounting for 7.08%. Tesla Shanghai Super Factory Production Line Optimization Project started on December 21,2021, and commissioning will be started after completion today. The expected acceptance period is from September 19,2022 to November 30,2022. This production line optimization project is Tesla's expansion on the basis of existing factories, mainly by increasing production rhythm to expand production capacity.

Publicity documents show that this production line optimization is mainly the expansion of stamping workshop, body workshop, painting workshop, assembly workshop and logistics operation center. At the same time, Tesla said that the project will increase production capacity by increasing working hours, increasing the number of employees and increasing the frequency of material turnover. It is expected that 4000 new employees will be added after the optimization of production line.
