Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, September 18, 2008 (Xinhua) Tesla has always performed very well in safety crash tests and has passed the tests of well-known crash testing institutions around the world. Data released by Euro NCAP last week showed that Tesla got the highest score.

2022 Euro NCAP test results for Tesla Model Y (MIG):

Adult protection-97%

Child protection-87%

Vulnerable road protection-82%

Security Assistance-98%

Now, "Green God" @ Greentheonly, a white hat hacker and Tesla software expert, tweeted that he found something different in Tesla's code, indicating that Tesla is testing different software versions against testing institutions in China, the European Union and South Korea. It includes codes related to vehicle test centers such as ANCAP (Australian New car Safety Evaluation procedure), I-VISTA (China Automotive Research China Smart vehicle Index), Euro-NCAP (EU New car Certification Program / Center) and Korea NCAP (Korean New car crash Test).

He also mentioned that the code changes here are only related to the ADAS advanced driving assistance system and have nothing to do with the crash test.

According to the white hat hacker, "there is now Autopilot code that can identify different ADAS test protocols," he said confidently. "it can be said that they are running code for non-production models."

This may sound troublesome to Euro NCAP, who have just praised Tesla Model Y for its perfect performance in such tests.

Tesla officials have not given an explanation so far. Some netizens speculated that it would affect the collision test in order to avoid automatic braking, while some netizens suspected that Tesla did not want the collision data produced by the institutional test, while others guessed that it was for cheating and might adjust the settings in the special test in order to achieve better results, but he responded to the ideas of dozens of fans and there is no unified answer yet.

According to Drive, current ANCAP officials say they already know about the matter and will investigate it.

CTOnews.com learned that Tesla often touts the safety of his vehicles, saying they are the safest ever. Although some people may doubt Musk's claim, the data of global crash testing agencies have proved that Tesla's model is indeed very safe, especially the new Model 3 and Model Y, after all, it is impossible for all testing institutions to make mistakes at the same time, but this "code door" is bound to cause users to question, and I hope Tesla can give an explanation as soon as possible.
