According to the website of the State-owned assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), the 300MW photovoltaic grid-connected project in PetroChina's Yumen Oilfield was officially launched on September 17, CTOnews.com. This is the third key new energy project launched by Yumen Oilfield, marking the entry of PetroChina's largest photovoltaic power generation project into the "acceleration runway".

CTOnews.com learned that the 300MW grid-connected photovoltaic power generation project in Yumen Oilfield has a construction scale of 300MW and an installation capacity of 360MW, with an average annual generating capacity of 605.8 million kilowatt hours after completion.

Data show that this will provide society with "zero carbon" energy equivalent to 184000 tons of standard coal, meet the electricity needs of 200000 households in a year, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 504000 tons, equivalent to planting nearly 4.5 million trees.

In addition, the 300 MW photovoltaic grid-connected power generation project requires the addition of a supporting energy storage system, the construction of a higher-level 330 kV booster station and a longer distance 330 kV transmission line. The supporting project will be completed and connected to the grid on December 26.
