CTOnews.com reported on September 17 that on June 5, the Shenzhou XIV manned spacecraft was successfully launched. Since then, three astronauts, Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe, have launched a six-month mission. The Shenzhou 14 astronaut crew successfully completed its first extravehicular activity on September 2, and carried out its second extravehicular activity today.

According to the China manned Space Engineering Office, 17:47 on September 17, Beijing time, after about five hours of extravehicular activities, Shenzhou 14 astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang, and Cai Xuzhe closely coordinated to complete all the tasks set during the extravehicular activities. Astronauts Chen Dong and Cai Xuzhe have safely returned to the sky-asking experimental module, and the extravehicular activities have been a complete success.

During the extravehicular activities, the astronauts successively completed such tasks as the installation of the extravehicular power handle, the installation of the load loop expansion pump group, and the extravehicular rescue verification, and the whole process was smooth and successful, which further verified the ability of the astronauts to work together with the small robotic arm, and verified the functional performance of the airlock cabin and the support equipment related to the extravehicular activities.

CTOnews.com learned that astronaut Liu Yang cooperated with two extravehicular astronauts to carry out extravehicular operations in the core cabin. This is the first time astronaut Cai Xuzhe has carried out an extravehicular activity mission.
