CTOnews.com Sept. 17, in yesterday's "Yaoguang 2025 Chery Technology DAY" theme event, Chery showed off a number of cool techs and a vision concept car, but also officially launched the "Yaoguang 2025" forward-looking science and technology strategy.

The forward-looking science and technology strategy of "Yaoguang 2025" covers four core areas: Mars structure, Kunpeng Power, Lion Science and Technology, and Galactic Ecology. Chery said it will take this as a basis to build 13 core technologies, including platform architecture, three power, intelligent driving, Zhiyun platform and ecological partners. Chery "Yaoguang Lab" was also launched at the conference to develop and tackle key problems of related technologies.

CTOnews.com learned that Chery pointed out that in order to achieve the above goals, it plans to invest 1000 billion in R & D in the next five years, train 20000 R & D personnel, and set up 300 Yao Guang laboratories to support cross-science and cross-border technology research. In addition, Chery will also synchronously lay out six major R & D centers in Wuhu, Shanghai, North America, South America, Europe and Central Asia, with global integrated management, and fully support the realization of the Yaoguang 2025 project.

In the exhibition areas of "New Energy" and "cool techs", Chery's new intelligent hybrid architecture, multi-functional skateboard platform, intelligent flight cockpit, EEA5.0 and other technologies were unveiled together. Among them, the intelligent flight cockpit is the latest generation of intelligent cockpit developed by Chery.

According to reports, the interior of the cockpit adopts Chery's original variable wheelbase embracing two-seat nebula cockpit layout, the cockpit wheelbase is variable, when the cockpit is the maximum wheelbase, the driver will be flush with the back seat and can interact with the rear passengers. At the same time, the cockpit also uses super-large OLED screen technology, the thickness is 7mm, breaking through the installation thickness and can not customize the display image and other technical pain points.

The Chery GENE concept car was also unveiled to the public at this conference. Chery said that GENE conceptually connects meta-universe with future cars, supplemented by Chery's independently developed Galaxy ecosystem, which carries many cool techs, has a forward-looking design concept and a sense of technology for the future.
