AMD recently announced a new EXPO technology for DDR5 memory on the latest AM5 platform, which can easily accelerate DDR5 memory through built-in overclocking profiles to improve performance, just like XMP technology. Subsequently, the major memory manufacturers released EXPO memory accordingly.

Gigabyte is also the first to provide AMD EXPO support on AM5 motherboards and extend this innovative design to the Intel platform, allowing users to use AMD EXPO or Intel XMP memory on motherboards Z690, B660 and below, thus enjoying performance improvements.

According to reports, the latest BIOS of gigabyte Z690, B660 and below motherboards supporting XMP and EXPO will be released on gigabyte's official website soon, and users who need it can follow it on their own.

CTOnews.com learned that AMD said that AMD EXPO technology aims to achieve higher game performance through pre-configured overclocking profiles, and to lower the memory overclocking threshold to better help gamers, and AMD will not charge memory vendors a percentage or license fee.
