Compared with the traditional lithium-ion battery, solid-state battery because of its complex manufacturing process, although the major automotive companies have been trying to achieve application, but so far can not fully turn to solid-state battery technology, even if the technology advocated before is also a solid-liquid mixture.

Now, Adden Energy's funding from Harvard, as well as $5.15 million earlier this year, has helped to develop a recently successful palm-sized battery into a mature upstream process that is expected to produce a new, comprehensive electric car battery.
At present, this kind of battery that Adden is preparing for commercial use can achieve a charging speed of up to three minutes, and has achieved more than 10000 charge-discharge cycles in its life cycle. It has high energy density and stability, and is more interesting than the future of lithium-ion batteries.
Li and other Adden founders believe that the development of solid-state batteries can help improve the performance-to-price ratio of new energy vehicles and further increase the overall market share of electric vehicles.
