CTOnews.com, September 16 (Xinhua)-- Amazon Prime Video will produce a series based on the classic movie Blade Runner, and it will be a live-action limited series called Blade Runner 2099, according to Deadline.

According to reports, the show may have "Blade Runner 2049" 50 years later, the first "Blade Runner" director Ridley Scott will serve as executive producer.

Amazon has not yet shared the plot details or launch time of Blade Runner 2099.

CTOnews.com learned that Blade Runner is an action science fiction movie directed by Ridley Scott, which was released in the United States in June 1982. Blade Runner 2049 is a sci-fi action film produced by Columbia Pictures, which was released in 2017. The film series tells the story between humans and replicators.
