According to reports, in recent years, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has adhered to the problem orientation and, together with relevant departments, has issued and implemented policies such as the interim measures for the Administration of Recycling and Utilization of Power batteries of New Energy vehicles and the measures for the Management of Cascade Utilization of Power batteries of New Energy vehicles. strengthen the traceability monitoring of the whole life cycle of power batteries and implement the standardized management of the industry for the comprehensive utilization of waste power batteries Organize Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other regions and China Tower Company to carry out pilot recycling of power batteries for new energy vehicles, and explore diversified recycling models.

CTOnews.com learned that data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed that by the end of August, more than 190 enterprises engaged in automobile production and comprehensive utilization of power batteries had set up 10235 recycling service outlets in 326 prefecture-level administrative regions of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. At the same time, 45 key enterprises of echelon and recycling had been cultivated to explore the formation of a number of new business models, such as "echelon batteries to rent for sale" and "waste for raw materials." The recycling system is gradually improving.

In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will implement the policy requirements such as the 14th five-year Plan for Industrial Green Development Plan and the implementation Plan for accelerating the Comprehensive Utilization of Industrial Resources, and focus on promoting the following work:

The first is to speed up the study and formulation of new energy vehicle power battery recycling management measures, increase regulatory binding force, strengthen battery flow management, and consolidate the main responsibilities of all parties.

The second is to strengthen the research, promotion and application of key technologies such as flexible disassembly and efficient recycling of decommissioned batteries, build a docking platform between supply and demand, and improve the technical level of the industry. We will speed up the introduction of a number of national and industry standards for the recycling of power batteries, do a good job in the promotion and implementation of standards, and strengthen the leading support of standards.

The third is to summarize the pilot work of power battery recycling, select and promote a number of mature experience and typical projects of power battery recycling, encourage business model innovation, strengthen the connection between the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, and guide all parties to promote the construction of a recycling system with high quality.

Fourth, continue to implement the standardized management of the waste power battery comprehensive utilization industry, implement the dynamic adjustment mechanism of "import and export", cultivate and strengthen the backbone enterprises of echelon and recycling, and promote the agglomeration of resource elements to superior enterprises.
