The Linux Foundation announced the establishment of the OpenWallet Foundation (OWF), a "consortium of companies and non-profit organizations that work together to create open source software stacks to promote multiple interoperable wallets." OWF aims to develop secure, versatile open source engines that third-party application developers can use to build interoperable wallets.
