According to CTOnews.com on September 15, data from the reporting Center of the Central Internet Information Office showed that in August 2022, the national Internet letter reporting departments and major website platforms accepted 16.017 million reports, an increase of 11.1 percent from the previous month and a decrease of 17.7 percent from the same period last year.

Among them, the illegal and undesirable information reporting center of the Central Internet Information Office (State Internet Information Office) accepted 842000 reports, an increase of 54.8% over the previous month and 128.2% over the same period last year. 825000 reports were accepted by local online letter reporting departments, up 6.8% from the previous month and down 16.9% from the same period last year. The country's major website platforms accepted 14.35 million reports, an increase of 9.6 per cent month-on-month and a decrease of 20.8 per cent over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that among the reports accepted by the major website platforms across the country, the major commercial website platforms accounted for 49.9%, reaching 7.166 million.
